She knew it, too. There was an instant connection between them, as if they had known each other for years. Even though he lived here in Washington DC and she lived there in Minnesota with her children, there was no question between the two that they were in love and that they were going to get married.
"We corresponded so much after that wedding," said Stephanie during my meeting with the pair in a coffee shop. "He decided pretty early that he was going to relocate to Minnesota. It was just one of those things where we both knew this was it, so why wait?"
So on a blazing hot summer day recently, the two celebrated their own wedding, married on the banks of the Potomac in an intimate ceremony held on the grounds of a historic library with close friends and family in attendance. Even through the hustle and bustle of final preparations in the hour leading up to the ceremony, the two had such a calm, happy feeling about them.
